Daily schedule for your helper: a template that actually works
A good schedule is a guide, not a stopwatch. It tells her what matters and in what order, and it builds in her own meal and rest breaks so they actually happen.
Start with fixed points
School drop-off, medicine times, meals. Everything else fits around those.
Sample weekday (from our sample handbook)
6:30 wake up, breakfast · 7:00 cook breakfast · 8:10 walk Ethan to preschool · 8:45 Ah Ma's medicine (blue box) · 9:00 laundry + the day's cleaning task · 12:15 pick up Ethan, lunch 12:45 · 13:30 her break until 15:00 · 17:30 cook dinner · 18:30 Ethan's bath · 19:15 family dinner · 20:30 wash up, school bag · 22:30 rest
Rotate the big cleaning jobs
Bathrooms Monday, bedrooms Wednesday, fridge Friday. One big job a day beats a whole-house clean that never finishes.
Put it in her language
A schedule she can re-read in Tagalog, Bahasa Indonesia or Burmese saves a dozen "what next?" questions in week one. See the full sample.
